Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated cook for the Westin Poinsett Greenville, a AAA Four Diamond property in downtown. You will prepare food to consistent quality, follow recipes, and assist kitchen functions to support service during peak hours.

The role emphasizes attention to food safety, timely execution, and collaboration with servers and other kitchen staff. The position is on-site at the Greenville property with regular day-to-day duties and opportunities to contribute to guest

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs on a continuous schedule.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time, avoiding over-preparation.
• Date/rotate perishables and keep temperatures within standards.
• Check pars for shift use and assist line setup.
• Note out-of-stock items and assist in buffet stocking.
• Return unused items to storage with proper labeling.
• Help control food cost and waste per standards.
• Operate and clean fryer, broiler, stove, steamer and equipment.
• Be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
