Saranello's in Wheeling, IL is looking for LINE COOKS to join our team. You will prepare, produce, and present all menu items with attention to quality and consistency. Weekend availability and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen are essential.

Qualifications

• Line cooks responsible for preparation, production and presentation of menu items.
• Ability to work a variety of hours, including weekends.
• Safe and effective use of knives and kitchen tools.
• Good communication to follow job requirements in written and spoken direction.
• Ability to multitask calmly under pressure.
• Stand for an entire shift in a busy restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow portioning controls and par levels.
• Maintain food safety and quality standards.
• Read thermometer correctly and efficiently.
• Communicate delays or issues to Coordinator.
• Monitor quantities and inform management when below minimums.
• Account for all items leaving the station.
• Follow allergy and special-order procedures.
• Comply with safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Adhere to Employee Handbook rules and policies.
• Be a team player and assist others as needed.
