Get to Know This Role

The Line Cook III collaborates with all kitchen staff to prepare, cook, and serve food for onsite guests, delivery, and to-go orders. They follow recipes, plating guides, and SOPs to ensure food quality and safety. They also assist in training, mentoring Line Cooks I and II, and contribute to improving kitchen systems, sustainability efforts, and employee development.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare all foods according to standardized recipes approved by supervisors.
  • Handle opening and closing SOPs, assist others, and suggest process improvements.
  • Manage food quantities as directed and communicate adjustments.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas for safety and cleanliness.
  • Organize and rotate inventory to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Participate in ongoing training and updates.
  • Receive and organize shipments following FIFO and safety standards.
  • Assist in training other cooks.
  • Monitor stations for needs, safety, and sanitation, and report concerns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Follow all relevant laws and health guidelines.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen as a line cook.

  • Ability to handle kitchen pressures and deliver quality.
  • Advanced skills in prep, sanitation, and execution.

  • Deep knowledge of food and cooking methods.
  • Proficiency in recipes, measurements, and conversions.
  • Understanding of BOH systems and communication.
  • Ability to adapt recipes and collaborate on menu development.

  • Experience in training staff.
  • Ability to adapt to guest flow and communicate needs.
  • Strong work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Completion of required trainings.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and hygiene practices.
  • SERV Safe Food Handler certification within 30 days.
