Job summary

The Alderman in Midtown Manhattan is seeking an experienced line cook to join our culinary team. You will be responsible for multiple stations, executing menu items to the Executive Chef's standards and maintaining clean, organized stations during busy service.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of professional line cooking experience, strong knowledge of grilling, sautéing, frying and garde manger, and a proven ability to work under pressure while upholding high standards of quality and

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of professional line cooking experience.
Strong proficiency in grill, sauté, fry, and garde manger/salad stations.
Ability to execute multiple stations during high-volume service.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, seasoning, plating, and food preparation.
Ability to maintain consistency, quality, and proper portion control.
Understanding of food safety, sanitation, labeling, and FIFO procedures.
Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.

Execute menu items according to the Executive Chef’s standards, maintain clean and organized stations, ensure consistent food quality and presentation, and contribute to an efficient, professional kitchen environment.
