Job description

Wages: $16.66 - $18.00 per hour depending on experience + tips, paid out nightly.

We are looking for energetic and dependable individuals to join our team at The Melting Pot in Spokane, a premier fondue restaurant located in downtown Spokane. Our mission is to provide the Perfect Night Out for our guests and a positive work environment for our team members. We offer a warm, friendly, and positive environment that promotes teamwork, highly competitive hourly pay + tips, meal benefits, and opportunities to grow. Our hours of operation are family and student-friendly, closing at 9 pm daily except Friday and Saturday, which close at 10 pm. We are hiring for both full and part-time roles. The Melting Pot in Spokane is a great supplemental income job for those with day jobs or school.

Line Cook Responsibilities:

  1. Learn knife skills and execute recipes to standard. Minimal kitchen experience required; training provided.
  2. Maintain a cold kitchen environment; no hotline work or late nights.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Set up and maintain dish machine.
  2. Properly soak, clean fondue pots and forks, and follow chemical safety procedures.
  3. Report repairs and maintenance issues promptly.
  4. Interact positively with service staff and team members.
  5. Manage time effectively.
  6. Communicate and assist team members, practicing teamwork.
  7. Use checklists for shift setup and cleanup.
  8. Follow company procedures to ensure perfect food quality.
  9. Adhere to food safety logs and procedures.
  10. Implement FIFO for food rotation and re-stocking.
