Job summary

SpringHill Suites ODU in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Line Cook to prepare meats, seafood and vegetables, ensuring quality and portion control. The role involves plating, garnishing and assisting with kitchen operations during service.

The candidate should have at least two years of kitchen experience, be able to communicate clearly with staff, and perform duties across hot station prep and closing tasks. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of kitchen and food preparation experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables and other items for cooking.
• Ensure portion control and consistency with standard recipes.
• Maintain clean and sanitary workstation and equipment.
• Assist in off-peak food prep and closing duties as needed.
