Job summary

Thrive Restaurant Group is seeking a Line Cook (Kitchen Team Member) to join our Applebee’s family. You will handle prep work and your station with focus on quality presentation, recipe adherence, and cook times. cross-training in all kitchen roles is included.

You will learn our recipes, follow specifications, and contribute to a fun, family-oriented hospitality culture while maintaining safety and sanitation standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Must have reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to use knives, slicing equipment and other food prep tools.
• Mobility required; ability to transport cases up to 50 pounds multiple times per day.
• Physical ability to stand and move throughout shift; lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Applebee’s recipes, plate presentations and specifications (50%).
• Complete all assigned prep work (15%).
• Set up workstation according to station diagram (15%).
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times (10%).
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift (5%).
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects (5%).
