Job Opening: Line Cook

We are hiring immediately for full-time Line Cook positions at Canoe Place Inn Restaurant, located at 235-239 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, NY 11946. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full Time; Weekdays and Weekend availability. Shifts are typically 7:00 am - 3:00 pm or 3:00 pm - Close.

Requirement: Previous culinary experience.

Pay Range: $25.00 per hour to $29.00 per hour.

Summary: Prepares food according to standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares high-quality food items according to recipes and instructions.
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring proper portioning, temperature, and presentation.
  • Uses ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records.
  • Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas, following safe food-handling procedures.
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment.
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
  • Reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
  • Attends safety meetings and maintains good relationships with coworkers and management.
  • Follows HACCP standards for presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
  • Follows all safety policies, including the use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
