Midwood Smokehouse in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our Park Road Shopping Center team. You will prepare barbecue dishes from scratch and work in a high-volume kitchen.

This role offers up to $20 per hour based on experience, weekend availability, and opportunities to grow within our Carolina barbecue family. If you take pride in quality and teamwork, we’d love to meet you.

Qualifications

• Two years of kitchen preparation and cooking experience.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Good English communication skills.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Create mouth-watering barbecue dishes from scratch, following our recipes to produce consistent and high-quality results.
• Master and adhere to standard barbecue cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen practices.
• Smoke a variety of meats, including pork, beef, chicken, and ribs, using traditional hardwood smokers; cook other items on flat-top grill and fryers.
• Portion all products accurately, follow recipes precisely, ensure plate presentation reflects authenticity.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhere to sanitization standards, follow food handling guidelines.
