Job summary

Riverside Theatre in Florida is seeking a reliable part-time Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You’ll prepare and cook menu items per recipes, maintain quality and safety, and keep a clean, organized workstation during each shift.

We offer hourly pay of $16-$20, 32 hours weekly on average with occasional overtime, plus two complimentary show tickets, tuition assistance for you and your children, and employee discounts on beverages and food.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred but not always required.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move kitchen supplies.
• Strong teamwork and time-management skills.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• ServSafe Training Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
• Set up and stock assigned stations before service
• Maintain proper food quality, temperature, and portion control
• Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining accuracy and consistency
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures
• Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized
• Properly store, label, and rotate food products using FIFO procedures
• Assist with prep work, receiving deliveries, and other kitchen duties as needed
• Communicate effectively with the Culinary Manager and other team members
• Minimize food waste and help maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Follow company policies and health department regulations
• Expo the line as directed
