Job summary

Stone's Throw is seeking professional line cooks to prepare food to exact specifications and set up stations for menu items. You will assist the executive and sous chefs and contribute to customer satisfaction, working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ideal candidates bring strong cooking knowledge, attention to detail, and good communication. A high school diploma or GED is required; culinary school is a plus. Join a team dedicated to quality and service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; culinary school diploma preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certificate.
• Experience as line cook or prep cook preferred.
• Solid cooking knowledge and efficiency.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef and Cooks to prepare meals during dining hours.
• Maintain accurate food inventories.
• Store food items at proper temperatures.
• Rotate stock per established procedures.
• Restock kitchen for shifts.
• Ensure sanitation of prep area and kitchen.
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
• Comply with nutrition and safety regulations.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
