Job description

Located in the vibrant, new expansion of Westfield Topanga, Topanga Social is a premier gathering spot in Los Angeles where the Valley comes together to eat, drink, play, and shop.

Topanga Social boasts over 50,000 square feet of versatile space designed for gathering, dining, meeting, relaxing, and socializing. The environment is inclusive and lively, featuring bars and lounges with indoor and outdoor options. The venue offers a diverse collection of restaurants, including popular LA eateries and celebrity chef outlets, alongside quieter areas for catching up with friends, informal business meetings, or shopping breaks. With 24 curated food outlets catering to all tastes, there is something for everyone at Topanga Social.

Position

The Line Cook prepares food to ensure it is properly flavored and meets all applicable federal, state, local, and company standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Reports directly to the Lead Line Cooks, Culinary Supervisors, Sous Chefs, and Executive Chef.

What You'll Do

ENSURE A HIGH-QUALITY OPERATION

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
  • Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, proper temperature, and attractive presentation.
  • Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain records from your area during service periods.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen after preparation and serving, storing or discarding excess food following safe food-handling procedures.
  • Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
  • Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
  • Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Attend all in-service and safety meetings.
  • Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
  • Perform job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Sous Chefs and the Executive Chef.
