Job summary

Whiskey Joe's Manatee River in Florida is seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our fast-paced culinary team. You will prepare food to recipe specifications and support daily operations in a beachside setting.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of line cook experience, knowledge of cooking techniques, and works well under pressure. Weekend and holiday hours are required, with competitive hourly pay of $18–$20.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the kitchen team to prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area per Health Department standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective service.
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented attractively.
• Assist with ingredient prep for future meals.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to kitchen management.
• Handle and store food items properly to prevent spoilage and waste.
• Adhere to portion control and minimize waste.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff as needed.
