Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux in Hammond, LA is seeking a dedicated Line Cook for a part-time role in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. The ideal candidate will maintain a positive attitude, work well with teammates, and follow strict safety and sanitation procedures.

You will assist with line duties, follow prep sheets, portion accurately, and help ensure food quality and timely service. A reliable transportation and adherence to uniform guidelines are required.

Qualifications

• Must arrive on time, well-groomed in a clean uniform.

• Follows day prep sheets and completes duties.
• Sets up sani-buckets, maintains a clean work area during shift.
• Follows proper food rotation, dates and labels items clearly.
• Adheres to Walk-On’s recipes and procedures.
• Practices clean-as-you-go to avoid cross-contamination.
• Completes daily line checklist for shift readiness.
• Can work without constant supervision.
• Able to portion accurately with a scale.
• Calibrates bio-thermometers and scales for accuracy.
• Follows HACCP guidelines for heating/cooling of food.
• Assists in receiving, dating, rotating, and storing deliveries.
• Helps other employees with tasks during shift.
• Dumps trash and cardboard to back-of-house receptacles.
• Must have reliable transportation to work.
• Must adhere to uniform guidelines.
