Job summary

Mama Bird Southern Kitchen in West Jordan, UT invites motivated Line Cooks to join our busy kitchen on both full-time and part-time schedules. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner, and contribute to memorable dining experiences.

We celebrate craft and teamwork, offering PTO, insurance at 25 hours, a 401(k) with company match, and employee meals with discounts. English accuracy and reliable transportation are required to start.

Qualifications

• Must have a basic understanding of English and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Knowledge of and ability to consistently prepare all food recipes and sub-recipes as instructed.
• Ability to expedite tickets accurately and timely, and read/understand the kitchen monitors or printed tickets.
• Proper cooling and storing practices per health department rules and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment; manage time effectively, and work well in a team environment.
• At all times during employment, you must have a valid State Health Card and any other government-required cards.
• A desire to learn, and grow, and a passion for progress in this career.

Responsibilities

• Performs all culinary duties and responsibilities to achieve overall success of the operation.
• Prepares food orders for guests using prescribed recipes and standards.
