Job summary

University at Buffalo Campus Dining & Shops is seeking a seasoned cook to prepare and cook a variety of items in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. You will operate fryers, char-broilers, flat-tops, and convection ovens, clean and maintain equipment, and support training of new hires.

Strong teamwork and accurate ticket reading are essential. The role requires a minimum of 2 years cooking experience, ability to follow standardized recipes, and excellent knife-handling and customer service

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years professional cooking experience, including stir fry, deep frying, grilling, roasting, steaming, cold food production, and food presentation and garnishing standards.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and cooking of items.
• Follow established recipes and production system; maintain records.
• Accurately prepare customers’ orders and handle requests promptly.
• Maintain high sanitary, hygienic, and safety standards; clean kitchen & equipment.
