A well-known family-style restaurant is seeking a Cook to prepare food according to recipes and customer requests. Qualifications

• At least 1-year experience as a Cook in a family style restaurant industry.
• Able to read and follow standardized recipes.
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
• Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere.
• ServeSafe or Food Handler Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food to set recipes following brand standards.
• Honors guests’ requests for special orders.
• Cleans and completes side work, and organizes supplies as required.
• Collaborate with Management to prepare meals during dining hours.
• Maintain accurate food inventories.
• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures.
• Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of shift.
