Position Overview

Small Cheval - The Freeze in Logan Square, part of Hogsalt, is seeking dedicated and experienced Full-Time Line Cooks ($19-$20/hour) for our new location opening mid-May.

Requirements
  • At least 1 year of cooking experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant.
  • Passion for excellence, superior service standards, and a positive attitude.
  • Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in hot or cold environments positively and productively.
Responsibilities
  • Set up and stock station with necessary supplies, maintaining inventory control.
  • Cook and prepare menu items according to Hogsalt recipes, ensuring quality and timely service.
  • Maintain communication with team members, understand call-backs, and keep dialogue open.
  • Follow instructions from Sous Chef, Executive Chef, and leadership.
  • Clean and break down station at end of shift, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Ensure kitchen hygiene and food safety regulations are met at all times.
  • Maintain professionalism and positive relations with coworkers, vendors, and guests.
