Job summary

Southern Tier is seeking a Line Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen team in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on accurate preparation, timely line setup, and high-quality plating under supervision of the Executive Chef or Manager on Duty.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of prep/line cook experience, strong hygiene practices, and the ability to thrive in a busy environment while working well within a team. ABV-affiliated operation with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a prep/line cook preferred.
• Basic understanding of sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
• Ability to function in a high-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and work well as part of a team.
• Must maintain personal hygiene and safely handle knives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meal ingredients following a recipe and line builds, and as directed by the Executive Chef or manager on duty.
• Lead station setup while focusing on proper cooking procedures, plating and presentation, flavor, temperature, and ticket time.
• Independently prepare all menu items to order, ensuring build accuracy and quality.
• Oversee post-shift duties, including cleaning, stocking, and checkout procedures, with feedback incorporation.
• Label and store food, maintain time-temperature logs according to taproom procedures and health code.
• Follow all opening and closing duties as outlined in ABV guides.
• Inspect dishes for presentation, accuracy, and quality before serving to expo window.
• Complete assigned prep work and assist with events as needed.
