Here’s what we need:
Line Cooks are the heart of the kitchen—where our Damn Good food is made from scratch every day. In a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant, you’ll be responsible for:
- Fry Cook: Master the fry station, ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor.
- Grill Cook: Operate the grill station, cooking proteins to the correct temperature, and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection.
- Sauté Cook: Manage the sauté station, handling various ingredients to create flavorful and perfectly cooked dishes.
- Steam Cook: Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes that require steaming, maintaining the right texture and flavor.
- Taco Assembly: Assemble and build each taco to order, ensuring each meets our high standards and guest expectations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Cooking & Prep: Prepare and cook ingredients on all stations according to Torchy's recipes and standards.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality and presentation of each dish before it reaches the guest.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized work station adhering to food safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other BOH team members to ensure timely and correct food prep.
- Inventory Management: Assist in stocking and organizing ingredients to ensure readiness for service.
- Efficiency: Operate with urgency during busy times, maintaining quality and presentation.
What you’ll need:
- Previous experience preferred.
- Flexible work schedules and hours based on restaurant needs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- High sense of urgency and ability to have fun!
