Line Cook – Fry, Grill, Sauté, Steam, Taco

The Torchy's legacy began in Austin, Texas in 2006 with an idea, a dedicated executive chef, and a food trailer. Today, we operate in multiple states.

We need:

Line Cooks are the heart of the kitchen — where our Damn Good food is made from scratch daily! In a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant, you will be responsible for:

  • Fry Cook: Master the fry station, ensuring fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor.
  • Grill Cook: Operate the grill station, cooking proteins to the correct temperature and grilling taco ingredients to perfection.
  • Sauté Cook: Manage the sauté station, handling ingredients to create flavorful, well-cooked dishes.
  • Steam Cook: Use steam equipment to prepare dishes requiring steaming, maintaining proper texture and flavor.
  • Taco Assembly: Assemble and build tacos to order, meeting our high standards and guest expectations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cooking & Prep: Prepare ingredients on various stations according to recipes and standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure each dish's quality and presentation meet our standards before serving.
  • Cleanliness & Organization: Keep work stations clean and organized, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure timely and correct food prep.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with stocking ingredients and maintaining readiness for service.
  • Efficiency: Operate with urgency during busy times, maintaining food quality and presentation.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Flexible schedules based on restaurant needs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • High sense of urgency and enthusiasm.

Lo que necesitamos:

Responsable de estaciones de fritura, parrilla, salteado, vapor y ensamblaje de tacos en un restaurante de ritmo rápido y alto volumen. En un restaurante de ritmo rápido y alto volumen, serás responsable de:

  • Freidora: Dominar la estación de fritura, asegurando productos fritos perfectos y crujientes.
  • Parrilla: Operar la parrilla, cocinando proteínas y ingredientes a la perfección.
  • Salteado: Manejar ingredientes para crear platos sabrosos y bien cocidos.
  • Vapor: Operar equipos de vapor para preparar platos al vapor, manteniendo textura y sabor.
  • Tacos: Ensamblar tacos según pedido, cumpliendo altos estándares y expectativas.

Responsabilidades:

  • Cocinar y preparar: Seguir recetas y estándares en las estaciones.
  • Control de calidad: Verificar calidad y presentación antes de servir.
  • Limpieza y organización: Mantener orden y limpieza en estaciones.
  • Trabajo en equipo: Colaborar para preparar alimentos a tiempo y correctamente.
  • Manejo de inventario: Ayudar en la organización y stock de ingredientes.
  • Eficiencia: Operar con sentido de urgencia durante picos de demanda.

Requisitos:

  • No se requiere experiencia previa.
  • Horarios flexibles según necesidades.
  • Capacidad para estar de pie varias horas.
  • Capacidad para doblarse, alcanzar y levantar hasta 40 libras.
  • Alta capacidad de atención y diversión.
