Base pay range

$21.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Position Overview:

As a Line Cook at Edgewood Tahoe Resort, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will prepare high-quality dishes with precision, creativity, and attention to detail while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and presentation. This role requires strong culinary skills, efficiency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fine-dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to the resort’s high culinary standards and guest preferences.
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and plating guidelines precisely.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, fellow cooks, and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Assist in daily prep work, ensuring ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and available as needed.
  • Be adaptable to changes in menu, special requests, or guest dietary restrictions.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Follow safe handling practices for knives, kitchen tools, and hot surfaces.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance in line with the luxury resort’s standards.
  • Maintain strict sanitation, safety, and cleanliness standards in compliance with health regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proven experience as a Line Cook in a fine dining, upscale restaurant, or luxury resort setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
