Fircrest Golf Club is seeking a Line Cook to prepare delicious food for our members. Line Cooks may also be assigned to our snack bar, patio, or cabana.

Job Summary

Prepare a variety of food products, including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, and stocks according to standard recipes using various equipment and utensils. The role requires early morning shifts and offers potential for full-time employment growth.

Job Tasks/Duties
  • Take inventory and prepare station items accordingly.
  • Follow standard recipes to prepare food.
  • Coordinate and time orders with kitchen operations.
  • Requisition necessary items and notify the Executive Chef of shortages.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
  • Set up, maintain, and break down the prep station.
  • Store leftovers properly, with dates and labels.
  • Recommend maintenance and repair for kitchen equipment.
  • Close the kitchen following the checklist.
  • Attend staff meetings and suggest improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Proven cooking experience, including grilling, broiling, sautéing, baking, etc.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Valid Washington State food handler's card.
  • Ability to stand for over 8 hours and lift up to 40 pounds.
Licenses and Special Requirements
  • Food safety certification.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts, including days, evenings, and holidays.
