Job summary

Ivy Hospitality in Kentucky is hiring two Line Cooks for part-time AM and PM shifts, 5:30AM–11:00AM or 4:30PM–10:30PM. The cooks will prepare and cook items according to recipes, maintain cleanliness, and support the kitchen team. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.

Strong knife skills, ability to follow recipes, manage time, and work under pressure are important. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $17.50 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Follow recipes accurately and use diverse cooking techniques.
• Must have excellent time management and work well under pressure.
• Stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks food items according to recipes and standards.
• Collaborates with the kitchen team to develop menu items and improve dishes.
• Keeps work area clean and organized; adheres to sanitation and safety standards.
• Assists with receiving and storage of deliveries; rotates stock to minimize waste.
• Monitors food quality and tastes dishes to ensure consistency.
• Oversees a station and coordinates with staff to ensure timely service.
• Helps train new kitchen staff and covers other stations when needed.
• Respects health department regulations and proper food handling.
• Participates in efforts to reduce waste and optimize kitchen resources.
• Maintains courteous and professional guest interactions.
