Job Description

Omni PGA Frisco Resort is seeking an experienced and creative Line Cook 1 PM | Trick Rider to join our team. The resort will feature 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 new food and beverage outlets, a luxurious spa, and a full entertainment district. With two championship 18-hole golf courses and a third short course, we offer exceptional dining, event, and entertainment options.

Trick Rider is a new-age supper club serving curated food and tricked-up cocktails, wines, and spirits. It offers an experiential dining experience with swagger. The venue features top-shelf seafood, shellfish, and premium meats. Guests can sit ringside at the chef’s table or at the horseshoe bar, enjoying a performance that pays homage to tradition with a modern twist.

The Line Cook 1 ensures all prep items are prepared and stored according to hotel specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Independently prepare all food items as directed by supervisor and according to company standards.
  • Work on an outlet hot/cold line, executing menu items within specified timelines.
  • Inspect all food products for quality.
  • Follow proper storage procedures for food items.
  • Use culinary equipment safely and properly.
  • Demonstrate solid cooking skills and techniques.
  • Maintain cleanliness and standards in walk-in, prep areas, and equipment.
  • Attend department meetings and required training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Proper use and care of kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Knowledge of kitchen preparation, knife skills, sanitation, and safety.
  • Minimum of 3 years culinary experience preferred; proficiency in operating at least one culinary station.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods.
  • Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Familiarity with weights and measures for recipes.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Culinary degree or formal training preferred.
  • Must have or obtain Food Handlers certification upon hire.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry moderate weights.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, with frequent bending and twisting.
  • Ability to utilize culinary tools and sensory skills (taste and smell).
