Job Description

Prepare all cold and hot food items, ensuring consistency and quality. Cold items include salads, appetizers, and dressings; hot items include appetizers, soups, entrees, sauces, and stocks. Manage daily requisitions and food rotation.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain cleanliness of walk-in refrigerators and work areas.
  2. Prepare mise en place for banquets.
  3. Complete requisitions for current and upcoming days.
  4. Prioritize tasks for banquet service.
  5. Coordinate with the Banquet Chef or supervisor on special preparations.
  6. Ensure food quality and consistency.
  7. Prepare food 45 minutes prior to service.
  8. Ensure adequate supplies are available in a timely manner.
  9. Assist in controlling food costs.
  10. Properly store prepared foods.
  11. Assist with pastry cart orders as needed.
  12. Report maintenance or security issues.
  13. Open and lock work areas as scheduled.
Qualifications
  • Adhere to sanitation and Ecosure procedures.
  • Attend mandatory department meetings.
  • Possess valid and up-to-date food handler certification.
