Job summary

Nudy's Cafes is a family-owned restaurant group with 15 locations, seeking a capable Line Cook to prepare meals to order, inform waitstaff when orders are ready, and help maintain a clean grill area. You will monitor inventory and help ensure consistent, high-quality outputs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior cooking or grilling experience, strong food-safety knowledge, and the ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior cook experience, preferably grilling.
• Strong food safety knowledge.
• Ability to stand long hours and work weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Slicing, cutting, shredding, tenderizing, and skewering meat and vegetables.
• Braising and grilling meat and vegetables.
• Checking that ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption.
• Preventing cross-contamination.
• Preparing meals in accordance with customers' preferences, if applicable.
• Tracking the components of each meal to ensure that the final dish is completed in a timely manner.
• Liaising with waitstaff once orders are finalized.
• Ensuring that your workstation remains clean and orderly at all times.
• Informing the Manager when equipment is due for maintenance, repair, or replacement.
• Tracking inventory to ensure that you always have adequate supplies.

Nudy's Cafes is a multi-location restaurant company that has been family owned & operated since opening our first location in 1979. The customer journey is one of our keys to success. Nudy's Cafe is the go-to casual breakfast & lunch location that provides quick, reasonably priced & freshly prepared meals in a family friendly environment. We currently operate in 15 locations across Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties. Restaurant number 16 will open in 2026! We have positioned ourselves to expand further throughout the Delaware Valley.

We are searching for an accomplished Line Cook to create meals in accordance with customers' preferences. The Line Cook's responsibilities include preparing ingredients, informing waitstaff when orders are ready, and cleaning the grill after each shift. You should also monitor inventory to ensure that you have sufficient supplies at all times.

To be successful as a Line Cook, you should be a skilled multitasker who adheres to food safety codes.
