Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining, setting up, food production, and quality control of all meat, fish, fowl, and other food items prepared on the front-line station.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Prepare daily preparation lists for production.
  2. Read and follow recipes, utilizing math skills.
  3. Prepare broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest checks, ensuring product consistency; transportation of heavy food products may be required.
  4. Visually inspect, select, and use only high-standard food items for all menu preparations.
  5. Monitor proper storage of products, control portions, and maintain quality, especially for specific cuts of meat.
  6. Maintain cleanliness of refrigeration, equipment, storage, and work areas to comply with health regulations.
  7. Keep logs related to cooling, heating, and temperature control.
  8. Follow all company policies, safety, and security procedures.
  9. Know department fire prevention and emergency protocols.
  10. Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, property damage, or loss to management.
  11. Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per standards.
  12. Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
  13. Assist other kitchen personnel as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Hold a current Food Handler Card.
