SOHO SUSHI KENNEDY, LLC is seeking skilled Line Cooks to execute our elevated izakaya menu in Tampa. You will work across fry, grill, sauté, and plating stations to help bring our culinary vision to life.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of line cook experience in high-volume, upscale environments, strong knife skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure during peak service. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities to join a vibrant kitchen team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of line cook experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant environment (Japanese/izakaya experience is a strong plus).
• Proficient knife skills, station management, and familiarity with high-heat cooking tools.
• Strong team mentality, stamina, and ability to stay calm under intense pressure.

Responsibilities

• Station Mastery: Prepare and execute menu items to precise recipe specifications and presentation standards on assigned stations (grill, fry, sauté, or plating).
• Pacing & ticket execution: Maintain rapid ticket times and clear communication with the expo and sushi bar during peak service hours.
• Station setup & mise en place: Ensure stations are fully stocked, prepped, and organized prior to each service shift.
• Kitchen safety & cleanliness: Strictly follow food handling, labeling, rotation (FIFO), and sanitation procedures.
