STAR CINEMA GRILL in South Barrington, IL is seeking a Line Cook to join a team that serves first-run films with a dine-in theater concept. You will help cook and plate dishes, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure timely preparation of orders while working with grills, fryers, and pizza ovens.

Responsibilities

• Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
• Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, handling several orders simultaneously.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Measure ingredients required for specific items being prepared.
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep fryers, or pizza ovens.
• Prepare specialty foods such as pizzas, fish and chips, sandwiches, and tacos with short preparation times.
• Read food order slips or verbal instructions and cook accordingly.
• Verify that prepared food meets quality and quantity requirements.
• Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking.
• Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases.
