LUN-A-TIC Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing and cooking menu items according to Luna Grill recipes.

• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers.
• Knows and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies and procedures.
• Stocks and maintains sufficient food levels at line stations for smooth service.
• Ports food items prior to cooking as per standard portion sizes and recipes.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work stations, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, etc.
• Assists in food prep during off-peak hours as needed.
• Properly closes the kitchen following the closing checklist and assists others in closing.
• Attends all scheduled team meetings and training sessions, providing suggestions for improvement.
• Performs other duties such as dishwashing and bussing as assigned.
