Job summary

Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, is seeking a line cook to prepare and cook menu items to standard recipes, ensuring food safety and quality for residents. Compensation: $21-$24/hour plus a $1,000 Sign-On Bonus

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and cook menu items using proper techniques, recipes, and food safety standards
• Execute cook-to-order meals with consistent quality, portioning, and presentation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
• Work side‑by‑side with fellow cooks, sous chefs, and culinary leadership during service
• Contribute to a dining experience that keeps residents coming back

What you need:

• At least 1 year of cook‑to‑order experience
• Must be able to work some weekends and holidays.
• Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, from hot kitchens to cold refrigerators and freezers
