Job description

Overview

The cook position requires flexibility and willingness to learn multiple roles within the Patient Service Line and Retail Service areas of the kitchen. Responsibilities include hot food line cooking and prep, cold food prep and assembly, patient tray expediting, ware washing, and assembly of Retail Service cold grab-and-go items. The role involves thorough food preparation, portion control, sanitation, routine cleaning, and operation, maintenance, and cleaning of kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

1. Cooks and prepares foods according to standardized recipes and departmental procedures.
2. Maintains utensils, equipment, and work areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
3. Serves foods on patient tray assembly area as needed.
4. Follows detailed daily sanitation and cleaning assignments.
5. Ensures food is prepared according to menu and production sheets assigned by supervisor.
6. Labels all food products according to Local Health Department Code.
7. Ports and prepares food prior to service.

Certifications: ANSI Accredited Food Handler Training within 30 days. Education: Not specified. Work Experience: Cooking experience required.

Salary Range
