Job summary

Life Enriching Communities is hiring a Line Cook to join our kitchen at Wesley Woods in New Albany, OH. The role supports meal service for residents, maintaining safety and quality standards in a collaborative environment.

We seek dependable culinary professionals who value safety, teamwork, and high standards. This positions entails a full-time schedule with rotating shifts and opportunities to contribute to excellent resident care and dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Some High School education.
• Prior experience in food service required.
• 1 year as a Line Cook in a continuing care retirement community, hospital, or similar facility preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old (Dept. of Labor regulation).
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Serv Safe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food using established procedures and recipes.
• Determine food quantities and ensure timely availability of supplies.
• Set up food service areas and assist with meal service.
• Follow all HACCP and sanitation protocols.
• Store and label food properly, maintaining organized storage areas.
• Ensure food quality and appearance meets expectations.
• Maintain a clean work environment and report equipment issues.
• Complete food temperature checks before service.

Schedule: Full-Time | This position follows a 2-week rotating schedule:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (7:00 AM–3:00 PM); Saturday (11:00 AM–7:00 PM)

Week 2: Monday–Friday (7:00 AM–3:00 PM)
