Job summary

Paradise Village in National City, CA is seeking a Line Cook to maintain efficient food preparation in the Culinary Department and to follow supervisor directives. This role emphasizes teamwork, good communication, and patient interactions with residents and staff.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food to maintain efficient performance in the Culinary Department.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local standards for facility operation.
  • Assist in station setup and cleanup and support other kitchen staff as needed.
  • Maintain quality and consistency of meals and portions according to supervisor instructions.

Description

The Line Cook at Paradise Village maintains efficient performance in food preparation in the Culinary Department and ensures adequate follow through of job duties as outlined by supervisor. Complies with federal, state and local standards for facility operation. Incorporates the Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into their daily work and interactions with others.
