MFG (Market Fresh Gourmet) is a growing multi-concept restaurant group with 4 concepts located in Mishawaka, IN: Corndance Tavern, Bourbon and Butcher, Evil Czech Brewery, and Jesús Latin Grill & Tequila Bar. Our facilities include the Carnegie Library Special Events space, a butcher shop sourcing locally, and a commissary kitchen producing house-made products.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Line Cook to prepare and cook a variety of dishes, creating exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality food, capable of managing multiple priorities, and contributing to a friendly team environment. Certification such as ServeSafe or Food Handler’s is preferred.

Responsibilities

1. Inspect and clean food preparation areas to ensure safety and sanitation.
2. Check food and ingredients for freshness, track inventory, and rotate stock.
3. Maintain correct food storage and cooking temperatures.
4. Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment.
5. Stir or turn foods for even cooking.
6. Respond professionally to guest feedback.

Qualifications

1. Previous restaurant cook experience preferred.
2. ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain).
3. Effective communication skills.
4. Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
5. Ability to stand for 8+ hours.
