Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Cook and prepare proteins and hot sides at designated stations.
  • Set up work stations, keep areas tidy, and stock ingredients.

  • Own final product and ensure it meets quality standards.

  • Follow sanitation and food safety procedures.

The Role: Execution and Excellence on the Line

The Line Cook is responsible for the daily preparation, cooking, and assembly of all menu items at their designated station, ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality and consistency.


Key Responsibilities (What You Will Do):


  • BBQ Mastery: Cook and prepare all proteins (pulled pork, ribs, chicken, etc.) and hot sides using a variety of cooking methods and equipment (grills, fryers, smokers).

  • Everything In Its Place & Station Ownership: Prepare all ingredients, setting up work stations, and ensuring your areas are tidy with all products stored appropriately and safely.

  • Speed & Timing Focus: Maintain an great sense of timing and organization. Key areas of focus include:

    • Reducing Ticket Service Times.

    • Maintaining consistent Product Quality and Product Availability.

    • Ensuring impeccable Plate Presentation.



  • Product Accountability: Take full ownership of the final product and plating. Never plate or serve food that does not meet the "CBQ" (Our Quality BBQ) standards for temperature, appearance, or flavor.

  • Team Commitment: Be a positive and engaged member of the team, actively contributing to a supportive and welcoming environment for all coworkers.

  • Food Safety: Comply with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards, and follow established food production programs and procedures.

  • Flexibility & Motivation: Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and flexibility with job duties, assisting wherever needed to ensure smooth operation.

  • Physical Stamina: Be able to lift 25-75 lbs and stand for extended periods in a hot environment.

  • Quality Control: Master our established recipes and portion control guidelines to minimize waste and ensure the flavor profile of our BBQ is legendary every time.

Required:


  • Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Line Cook, Station Cook, or similar role in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment. Fast-casual or BBQ experience is a major plus.

  • Work Ethic: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-pace environment and be highly self-motivated.

  • Sense of Responsibility: A genuine commitment to food quality and the accountability to only put the best food out to our guests.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift/move 25-75 lbs.
