Job summary

Hilton Madison Monona Terrace, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, is seeking Line Cooks in Madison, WI. Full-time morning and weekend availability required with a pay range of $17-$19 per hour.

You will craft high-quality meals, manage prep, and work closely with a supportive culinary team to deliver memorable experiences. Qualifications

• Basic experience in a kitchen setting, including knife skills and sanitation knowledge.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions from the Chef.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and stations.
• Understanding of food waste control.
• Ability to read orders from the POS system.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Setting up equipment and ingredients prior to service.
• Reading and preparing menu items quickly and accurately according to provided recipes.
• Preparing food for team member meals.
• Performing inventory checks on perishable items and notifying leadership of products nearing expiration.
• Assisting with banquet preparation and production to meet client expectations.
• Ensuring coolers and prep areas are cleaned and secured at shift end.
• Storing food correctly with proper labeling and rotation.
• Maintaining food quality and sanitation standards before, during, and after service.
• Supporting the team with additional tasks as assigned.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Cook, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality meals for both guests and team members. Every day brings variety, teamwork, and opportunities to sharpen your culinary skills, including:

• Setting up equipment and ingredients prior to service
• Reading and preparing menu items quickly and accurately according to provided recipes
• Preparing food for team member meals
• Performing inventory checks on perishable items and notifying leadership of products nearing expiration
• Assisting with banquet preparation and production to meet client expectations
• Ensuring coolers and prep areas are cleaned, organized, and properly secured at the end of each shift
• Storing food correctly, following proper labeling and rotation procedures
• Maintaining food quality and sanitation standards before, during, and after service
• Supporting the team with additional tasks as assigned
