Job summary

Tarina of Kingwood, a Saga Senior Living Community, seeks a Line Cook to prepare nutritious meals, follow dietary needs, and contribute to a safe kitchen. You will ensure high-quality service for residents in a warm, supportive environment.

This full-time, on-site role offers competitive pay and scheduling with holidays and weekend rotations. Must be 18+ with at least 1 year cooking experience and experience in assisted living preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of cooking experience.
• Experience in an assisted living facility preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks while accommodating dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and dining environment per regulations.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare nutritious, appealing meals and snacks while accommodating special dietary needs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining environment in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Assist with menu planning, food ordering, delivery, inventory, and proper food storage for infection control
• Support efficient kitchen operations by identifying improvement opportunities, reporting equipment issues, and multitasking in a fast‑paced environment
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers while providing high‑quality service

What You'll Need:

• At minimum 1 yearof cooking experience, required
• Cooking in an assisted living facility, preferred
• At minimum 18 years of age or older, required
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 15 pounds at a time
