Job description

At True Food Kitchen, we pride ourselves on serving great food! This means that we rely on our line cooks to consistently and efficiently prepare and cook our recipes to the highest quality. Many items on our menu are seasonal, providing our line cooks with a variety of recipes to prepare as we rotate throughout the year.

We look for people who:

  • Have experience in at least one of these stations: Pantry, Pastry, Pizza, Wok, Saute, Grill.
  • Experience in more than one station is a plus!

  • Are willing to continue growing and learning through our enhanced development program if they know only one or two stations.
  • Preferably have at least 6 months of experience in a similar capacity in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Have the flexibility and availability to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Can work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Can read and execute recipes accurately.
  • Have a love for making great food and understand the importance of quality presentation!

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of starters, entrees, pizzas, and more using various kitchen equipment and techniques.
  • Consistently follow portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies.
  • Stock and maintain sufficient food levels at line stations for smooth service.
  • Portion food products according to standard sizes and recipes.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station and equipment.
  • Ensure proper plate presentation and garnishing.
  • Properly handle, store, and rotate all products.
  • Assist in food prep during off-peak times as needed.
  • Open and close the kitchen following proper procedures and checklists.
  • Follow hygiene and food safety rules.
  • Participate in proactive communication to resolve operational, HR, and financial issues.
  • Be flexible during shifts to ensure efficient restaurant operation.
