Job summary

Snooze in Fullerton, CA is hiring a Line Cook to join our breakfast-focused team. Earn $17.75-$20.50 per hour plus tips as you help craft our pancakes and morning favorites.

You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, maintain food safety, know menu items, and prep with knives, mixers, ovens, stoves, and grills. We offer weekly pay, benefits for full-time employees, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
• 6 months experience in a high-volume restaurant setting preferred.
• Able to communicate clearly with management staff.
• At least 17 years of age and authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served.
• Be familiar with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and safety information.
• Prepare food items using knives, mixers, blenders, scales, and portion bags.
• Cook foods using ovens, stoves, griddles, and broilers.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and area.
• Handle all products per Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines.

The Position Specifics

The Snooze Line Cook ensures that each Snooze food item is prepared with the highest quality, care, and craftsmanship. The best pancakes in all the land are in the hands of our Line Cooks. The responsibilities of this position include:

• Responsible for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served
• Responsible for being well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safety information
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags
• Prepares foods for service using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station and working area
• Handles all products properly in accordance with Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines

• able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• at least 17 years of age and authorized to work in the US.

Certification Requirements

All county required food and alcohol serving certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
