Job summary

Experience Senior Living is opening The Gallery at Fort Collins in March 2026 and seeks a Line Cook to join the opening team. The role starts February 2026 with interviews underway.

You’ll support fine dining standards, work closely with the Director of Culinary Services, and ensure safe, high-quality food service for residents in a compassionate community setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of cook experience in hospitality or healthcare.
  • Food handlers permit as required by state law/standards.
  • Able to read and follow recipes and production guides.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of culinary customer service and promote a fine dining experience.
  • Work with culinary leadership to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs.
  • Maintain kitchen and food storage areas in a clean, safe, sanitary condition.
  • Open and/or close the kitchen and adhere to cleaning schedules.
  • Prepare and cook meals per established recipes and menus.
  • Document temperatures of food prior to service and in storage.
  • Ensure snacks and beverages are available to residents at all times.
  • Assist with special events, banquets, and theme meals.
  • Read production guides and follow recipes for production goals.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

TheExperience Senior Living Teamis beyond thrilled to announce the opening of our newest communityThe Gallery at Fort Collins, planned for opening in March 2026! As we finalize construction, we are beginning to identify the team that will help to successfully open the doors and welcome residents through grand opening and beyond.

We are looking for aLine Cook join our amazing team! This position is expected to start in February 2026. Interviews are happening now.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a high level of culinary customer service and promote a fine dining experience.

  • Work closely with the Director of Culinary Services and/or Executive Director to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs.

  • Maintain kitchen and food storage and preparation areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.

  • Responsible for the opening and/or closing of the kitchen.

  • Adhere to cleaning schedules as assigned.

  • Ensures that all food is received, stored, and prepared according to Company standards.

  • Estimate daily or weekly needs of food and supplies and communicates needs to Director of Culinary Services or assistant Director of Culinary Services.

  • Participate in preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and approved menus.

  • Document temperatures of food prior to service, refrigeration, and freezer.

  • Prepare and ensure snacks and beverages are available to residents at all times.

  • Keep kitchen floors clean (sweeps and mops) and trash emptied.

  • Assist with the transportation and storage of food and supplies.

  • Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals.

  • Will attend pre-meal stand up in kitchen prior to meal service.

  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience as a cook in a hospitality or healthcare environment.

  • Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or Company standards.

  • Able to read and follow recipes and printed production guides, cleaning schedules, and logs.

  • Connect and help residents transition from home to community through thoughtful engagement at every level of interaction.

  • Ability to build positive and strong relationships with team members, coworkers, and residents.

  • Focused and dedicated to providing excellent customer service.

  • Ability to handle multiple jobs and priorities.

  • Accept direction from superiors or other experienced staff.

  • Shares job knowledge or resident information with others as needed.

  • Give and welcome feedback.

  • Operate and Maintain kitchen equipment in a clean and sanitary manner.

  • Ability to work varied schedules to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Compensation: $21.00 - 22.00/hour
