Job Summary: The Shack Wings & Brews is a local brand from El Paso Texas, focusing on serving fried or grilled American foods like chicken wings, burgers, sandwiches, and more. The job as a line cook requires operating fryers, grills, and ranges. It is required to prepare foods from scratch all the way to final food presentation. Other duties required are food safety and sanitation, which involve maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen.

Responsibilities:

  1. Promote, work, and conduct oneself in a professional manner towards co-workers and behave in a manner consistent with the mission of The Shack Wings & Brews.
  2. Inspect, clean, and maintain food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
  3. Ensure that food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of the fryers, grills, and other kitchen equipment.
  4. Be knowledgeable on all aspects of the standard portions, ingredients, cooking methods, kitchen rules, and other policies and procedures pertaining to The Shack Wings & Brews.
  5. Maintain the kitchen line always stocked and ensure that all items are being rotated properly to The Shack Wings & Brews standards.
  6. Handle and store all food products and supplies according to The Shack Wings & Brews policies and procedures.
  7. Prepare, season, and garnish all food products to The Shack Wings & Brews standards.
  8. Follow all proper guidelines provided by The Shack Wings & Brews on how to prepare, present, and garnish all food products.
  9. Engage in all employee meetings, employee trainings, and other scheduled duties.
  10. Promote teamwork within the kitchen environment.

Qualifications: Qualifications for line cook require obtaining Food Handlers certification, must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
