Job summary

Integrated Support Solutions Inc. (ISSI) is seeking a Full-Time Cook for a state-of-the-art hospital in Dahlonega, GA. The role features a steady day shift, Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, with rotating weekends.

You will prepare meals for patients and staff, maintain quality and portion control, and collaborate with chefs and dietitians to deliver a hospital-scale dining experience. Tuition reimbursement and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as a cook
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred but not required
• Must present in a professional manner
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Preparation of foods for patients, cafeteria and caterings
• Maintain high standards of quality food production and portion control using standardized recipes
• Ensure quantities of food meet menu requirements
• May deliver patient trays to patient rooms
• Kitchen area cleaning after prep/cooking and washing pots/pans/utensils

Requirements

Basic job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation of foods for patients, cafeteria and caterings


• Responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food production and portion control, using standardized recipes.


• Responsible for appropriate quantities of food needed to meet menu requirements.


• May be required to delivery patient trays to patient rooms


• Cleaning of kitchen area following prep/cooking, including pots, pans, utensils and other items


• Responsible for following standards and methods as outlined in the Policy and Procedures to promote high quality food and prevent food borne illnesses in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

• 1 year experience as a cook


• Experience in similar position in a healthcare setting preferred but not required


• Must present in a professional manner


• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment


• Must have flexible availability including weekends and holidays
