Job summary

Pura Vida Miami is seeking a dedicated line cook to join our fast-paced kitchen. You will prepare and cook menu items following recipes, maintain station cleanliness, and work with the BOH team to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires 1–2 years in a food production setting, ability to multitask, strong time management, and a commitment to high quality. Local food handler certification is preferred and lifting up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in a food production facility or fast-paced restaurant.
• Local/municipal Food Handler certification preferred, obtained at applicant’s expense.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality.
• Strong attention to detail and time management; good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with the BOH team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and putting them away in appropriate storage areas.
• Cross-train across various roles to support growth in responsibilities.
• Support with any additional duties assigned.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality food.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Great communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be familiar with the measurement system.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
