Job summary

Dave & Buster’s/Main Event Entertainment is hiring a Line Cook passionate about quality, safety, and guest experience. You will prep and cook items to standard recipes, uphold sanitation, and work with the team to deliver fresh, timely meals in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of Line Cook or Prep Cook experience, be 18+, and hold a Food Handler Certification where required. Flexibility for days, nights, weekends and holidays is essential.

Responsibilities

• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
• Prep and cook menu items according to recipes.
• Minimize food waste by proper portions and avoiding ticket errors.
• Coordinate with service team to ensure timely, fresh delivery.
• Follow company and health department procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Maintain station cleanliness before, during, and after shifts.
• Perform opening, mid-day, or closing duties.

Job Description: At Dave & Buster’s/Main Event Entertainment, our Line Cooks prepare unforgettably delicious food that keeps our Guests coming back for more! As a Line Cook, you are passionate about our ingredients, food quality standards and delivering a consistent Guest experience! You are an expert on our prep and spec recipes, operational standards, equipment and utensils. You’re also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?

• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
• Prepping and cooking all menu items according to recipes standards
• Helping minimize food waste by creating proper portions, staying vigilant for ticket errors, and communicating with expo
• Partnering with the service team to ensure food is accurate, delivered fresh and in a timely manner
• Adhering to all company and health department food safety procedures
• Properly and safely operating kitchen equipment
• Maintaining a clean and stocked station before, during and after each shift
• Performing opening, mid-day or closing duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Must have at least 6 months of Line Cook and/or Prep Cook experience
• 18 + years of age; Food Handlers Certification, as required
• Comply with the company uniform standards
• Always be ready to create a memorable guest experience
• Teamwork is a must (Remember, teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays (subject to business needs)
