TooJay's Deli is hiring Line and Deli Cooks for our Oakwood Square restaurant in Florida. You will help craft classic New York deli recipes with speed and accuracy, delivering quality sandwiches, soups, and baked goods.

We value flexible schedules, a team‑oriented work environment, and adherence to safety and grooming standards. This role requires standing for long periods and the ability to operate multiple kitchen stations and equipment safely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience in a full-service restaurant or related field.
• Flexible and long hours required at times.
• Ability to stand during entire shift, exerting up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Must be able to maneuver safely throughout the walk-ins and kitchen during the shift.
• Able to operate and handle kitchen equipment safely: microwaves, knives, steam tables, gas range, char broiler, fryers, salamander, convection ovens, meat/bread slicers, check printer, kitchen display system, scales, automatic dishwasher and all chemicals.
• Maintain regular schedules and high standards of personal grooming and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook line and deli items to high quality standards.
• Operate listed kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and high touch points.
• Assist with food prep, plating and portion control to ensure consistency.
• Follow safety, grooming, and uniform policies in daily operations.

• Maintain regular schedule in compliance with TooJay’s business levels which may vary based on the needs of the restaurant and check list protocols and standards of cleanliness
• Maintain high standards of personal grooming, including wearing proper uniform and facial mask and gloves when/where if required and as regulate
