Job Summary: COME JOIN OUR FAMILY-ORIENTED TEAM ON THE RIVER IN THE BEAUTIFUL CITY OF ASTOR, FLORIDA! We are seeking a part-time dedicated line cook with experience in griddle, fryer, and char-grill. CLEANING IS ESSENTIAL DURING AND AFTER EVERY SHIFT. Some prep work required. All brand new equipment in a fully air-conditioned kitchen with AC air coming in from the hoods. Job Types: Part Time Weekends

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipment
  • Prepare food and present it in an appealing manner in a high-volume restaurant
  • Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessary
  • Follow all food safety regulations
  • Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification REQUIRED (employer will pay for certification)
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
  • Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Availability on weekends, days & nights
  • Must be able to perform in a high-volume environment
