Job summary

The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection is looking for a Cook to prepare food items in line with recipes and established standards. You will support breakfast operations, lunch and dinner service, and assist with banquet events.

We offer benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a generous PTO program. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of culinary experience and excellent organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of culinary/kitchen experience.
• Applicants with Banquet & Prep experience will be given priority for an interview.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards.
• Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products.
• Stock and maintain designated food station(s).
• Inspect all food sent from the kitchen.
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures.
• Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items as needed.

Position Summary

A Cook is responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. This position would support breakfast operations within the hotel restaurant, lunch and dinner service for the hotel Lounge, and support the banquet team as needed with prep & execution of banquet event food.

Education

Hours required

Scheduled days and time vary based on hotel needs. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.
