Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Hudson, OH invites an experienced Line Clearance Groundperson to join our on-site crew serving Hudson, Ohio.

As a full-time, hourly position, you will support the team by handling ropes and lowering operations, supplying tools, directing traffic safely, and performing site cleanup and brush handling. CDL and pesticide licenses may be required or preferred depending on job requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver’s license required; CDL preferred depending on job requirements.
• Pesticide licenses if required by state law; Herbicide license a plus.
• Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines.
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for the other crew members by controlling lowering ropes, limbs and persons from aloft.
• Supplying tools for tree workers.
• Controlling road and sidewalk traffic as needed by use of warning devices and other methods.
• Cutting, chipping and loading brush and wood and proper job site cleanup.
